What Is Umbra Forma
The Umbra Forma will be the new special type of Forma which will allow players to change the polarity of any Slot present in the weapon or your Warframe to Umbra polarity.
So what does it Mean? well previously umbral mods could only be used with Excalibur Umbra but with the new New Umbra, you will be able to use Umbral Mods on your weapons and warframes.
Now you will be able to use Mods such as Umbral Vitality which gives more health and tau resistance, Umbral Intensify which gives ability strength and tau resistance, Umbral Fiber which gives more armor and tau resistance.

Furthermore, you can also use various melee weapon mods such as Sacrificial Steel and Sacrificial Pressure which highly increase melee damage and also increases damage to sentients.
How To Unlock Umbra Forma
With the introduction of the Nightwave system, you will be able to earn rewards for completing various missions/acts.
These contain various daily and weekly challenges and completing it will give you standings. 10,000 standings will allow you to upgrade your level in Nightwave.
There are 30 such tiers/levels which you can to progress through and the Umbra Forma can be unlocked at tier/level 29 of Nightwave.
