The Honda XL600R was a single cylinder four-strokeEnduromotorcycle produced by Honda between 1983 and 2000. It could reach a top speed of 104 mph (167 km/h). Max torque was 39.09 ft/lbs (53.0 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 48.95 HP (36.5 KW) @ 8000 RPM.
Engine[edit]
The engine was a large thumper single cylinder four-stroke. A 100.0mm bore x 75.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 589.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was moderated via a chain driven overhead cam with 4 valves. Honda later re-used a very similar engine in the Honda GB500.

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit]
It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 41mm Showa hydraulic telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Pro-link single shock. The XL600R was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 432.11 pounds (196.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.25 inches (1505 mm) long. er at 6500rpm. Thanks to its engine, the bike is able to reach a top speed 142 km/h.

The XL600R'84 was sold in 1984 in one color: Monza Red (in some countries it was called Flash Red).

The XL600R'86 was sold in 1986 in Shasta White with Southern Blue. The gas tank was 3-tone blue, red, and white. The fenders, side covers, frame, and headlight cowl were white. The wheels, fork legs, and swingarm were gold color. The engine was red. The number plate panels were black. The engine was a 589cc OHC RFVC single cylinder with two carburetors and two head pipes. 1987[edit]
The XL600R'87 was sold in 1987 in Shasta White with Southern Blue. The gas tank was 3-tone: blue, red, and white. The red stripe was actually 3-tone dark, medium, and light red. The wheels, fork legs, and swingarm were silver. The fenders, side covers, frame, and headlight cowl were white. The engine was red. The number plate panels were black.
